Chrysalis was established as a voluntary organisation (NGO) in September 1994 and has since supported people from African decent for the past 21 years in Manchester. It is a registered charity in England and Wales.

Chrysalis aims to provide a welcoming and supportive drop-in offering advice on housing, employment, immigration, education, including advocacy, ESOL courses; food and hygiene parcels for those in most need; accredited parenting courses including: bridging the cultural gap in parenting, Parenting Skills for men: The Parenting Skills is a series of workshop events which aim to examine key safeguarding issues faced by children of Black/African origin and explore the role of Black/African parents and Agencies in the child protection agenda. We provide non-specialized social work/case work support to parents, including home visits; and accompanying clients to Hearings and Contact Visits; and Writing Family Assessment Reports for Social Services and or Family Court.
