Crondall Village Hall

Registered Charity Number 301795

Our Village Hall continues to be used by many residents and neighbours from the surrounding district. We have managed to operate with a surplus allowing us to build up a small reserve fund over recent years. As we operate under Charity regulations we need to invest our income into services provided. Earlier this year we completely refitted the toilets from our own resources. We then applied for planning permission to extend the hall all the way along the right-hand side when viewed from the Front.

This has been granted enabling us to implement the following:

Extend and modernise the kitchen to facilitate catering for weddings and large events. Add an office much needed by the committee. Add storage facilities, enabling regular hirers to consider keeping their equipment at the hall and to release the existing room used for storage to be used by visiting acts as a changing or holding room Add double glazing to the front of the building. Upgrade our heating and lighting systems

The cost of the project will be close to £150,000. We will contribute £25,000 from our own funds and apply for grants but these will need to be matched from village sources which leaves us needing to raise at least £50,000 by December 2017 We would ask you consider donating whatever you can afford to assist us to reach the target and If you can organise a fund-raising event for this project, we will offer the hall at a special rate.

We have set up a donation page on our website to assist you especially if you use on-line banking. We will be happy to accept cash, cheques made out to CRONDALL VILLAGE HALL or online payments to 30-93-20 00091778 mentioning Ref. BF DON2017 We have applied for gift aid to maximise funds received. Declaration forms can be downloaded from our website or picked up from the hall.

We realise that budgets are tight these days and there are many causes needing your support but this is a chance to invest in the Hall for present and future generations benefit. As you can imagine, it is going to take a lot of work, time, effort and money to get this project up and running, so we can’t do this without your help. Like all community groups there are many ways that you can get involved, and one of the biggest and most important is to ‘be there’ – be there to help support the us and offer ideas on how to make the project a reality.

Make your donations go further HMRC operates a scheme called Gift Aid that allows charities to claim the basic rate tax on every pound donated. So if you donated £100 to Crondall Village Hall, it means that you could actually be giving us £125. Giving under Gift Aid means that so much more money can be raised at no extra cost to our donors.

Gift Aid forms can be found on our website
