The objects of the charity are specifically restricted to the promotion and advancement of the community and voluntary sector in merseyside and the north west of england, the prevention and relief of poverty, the advancement of education, the promoTion of equality and diversity and the relief of those in need because of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage in such ways as the trustees think fit. without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, tHis may include: building the capacity of community and voluntary sector organisations (including faith organisations) in merseyside and the north west of england by the provision of support, information and services; providing grants to resiDents of merseyside and the north west of england so as to fund scholarship programmes, education costs (including school fees, - exam costs, books and materials) and any other costs associated with education and / or training programmes; providIng support to people in merseyside and the north west of england with special / particular educational needs and their families; arranging and / or participating in events designed to encourage racial harmony and improved diversity in merseysidE and the north west of england; providing advice and support to people in merseyside and the north west of england seeking employment; and supporting and / or signposting residents of merseyside and the north west of england who are experienCing financial difficulties to community and voluntary organisations who can provide financial advice and support.
