Adam's PERSONAL MESSAGE

On 18th July I will join my fellow adventurer Eddie on a 2 day unaided climb to the summit of Mont Blanc.This will be a totally unaided climb, that means we will be climbing and sleeping on the mountain and carrying all our food, water and climbing gear, total weight of around 40-50Kg ! No guides, just the two of us.

Critical gear such as ropes, harnesses, crampons, ice axes and other safety equipment add weight, but without it make the attemp futile and dangerous.

Described by UK Climbing - At a whopping 4808 metres, Mont Blanc is the undisputed heavyweight of the Alps, and the highest peak in Western Europe. A huge white dome surrounded on all sides by thundering glaciers, huge alpine faces and some of the world's most stunning alpine scenery.

Doing this in the summer will make the challenge more demanding due to the snow, but more likely the ice and rock fall as that is prevalent.
