The Crew Club

The Crew Club was established in 1999 following the fatal stabbing of a local young person. Since then the club has support thousands of young people with their educational, personal and social development. The club is based in East Brighton, one of the countries 10% most deprived areas. In 2007 the Crew Club received government funding to build a 21st century purpose built youth centre. Today the club supports hundreds of people through weekly 7 to 11-year-old after school provision, 11 to 19's youth provision, drama classes, a range of sport sessions, and is home to Crew Club Hawks FC and East Brighton Amateur Boxing Club. The Crew Club also has its own Share Shop that provides food support and runs weekly breakfast and lunch clubs.
